The CEC publishes “Election Trends in the Republic of Kosovo, 2009 – 2019”

Ten years of elections in the Republic of Kosovo are summarized in a voluminous document in terms of the number of data presented.

The four electoral processes for the Assembly of Kosovo (2010; 2014; 2017 and 2019) and the three electoral processes for the Municipal Assemblies (2009; 2013; 2017) are reflected in detail in about 70 pages of this document.

“Electoral trends in the Republic of Kosovo, 2009 – 2019” is divided into five main parts:

  1. GENERAL TRENDS – where general data are provided for all these electoral processes, with special emphasis on participation in elections;
  2. GENDER ELECTION PARTICIPATION: WHO VOTES THE MOST? – this section presents data on participation in elections by gender and that for each municipality of Kosovo;

III.               PARTICIPATION IN ELECTIONS BY AGE GROUP – This section presents data on participation in elections for six age groups.

  1. TRENDS IN URBAN AND RURAL AREAS – this section answers the questions in which areas have the highest turnout: in urban or rural areas?
  2. ELECTION TRENDS OF MAIL VOTING; CONDITIONAL AND VPSN–

“Electoral Trends in the Republic of Kosovo, 2009 – 2019” is the first document of its kind that can serve researchers in the field of elections, political entities and the media.
