Chief of OSCE mission in Kosovo, Jan Braathu visited Central Election Commission and was hosted by president Valdete Daka and other members of CEC.

Preparation of early elections for Kosovo Assembly that will take place on 6th of October, was the topic of this meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, president of CEC Daka informed Braathu regarding the preparations that Central Election Commission is undertaking, while reminding the advisory role of the mission of OSCE in four Municipal Election Commissions and Polling Station Committees in these municipalities.

 “Preparations for election process are continuing pursuant to plans and until now we do not have any difficulties in their organization” informed president Daka.

From his side, ambassador Braathu has reemphasized his appreciation for many years of cooperation with CEC and has informed members of CEC about the preparations of OSCE for implementation of its role in 6th of October elections, pursuant to the request of CEC.
