Pristina, 17 October 2021, 08:00 – The Central Election Commission held a conference on the day of the Local Elections in the Republic of Kosovo.

The CEC spokesman, Valmir Elezi announced that according to the plans, at 07:00 the voting process has started in 2,477 polling stations of 883 polling stations.

In this conference, the data are announced that the elections are held to elect 38 mayors and 1,002 members of 38 Municipal Assemblies, while the total number of candidates certified to participate in these elections is: 5,364 candidates, of which 166 candidates for Mayor and 5,198 candidates for Municipal Assemblies.

“According to the final list certified by the Central Election Commission, the number of citizens with the right to vote is: 1,885,448. The Central Election Commission invites all citizens with the right to vote, to exercise their constitutional right, the right to vote, and to go to the polls. Also, in this first hour of the beginning of the voting process, we inform all voters that on the CEC website, kqz-ks.org, the application is continuing to work through which every citizen can learn his polling station correct “, announced Elezi.

During Election Day, in order to be regularly informed about the turnout and the progress of the election process, the CEC will hold a conference at 11:30; 15:30; and 19:30, while for the conference for the publication of the results the media will be notified in time, if it will be held.
