Any eligible voter residing outside Kosovo is allowed to vote in the Assembly elections if they have successfully completed the pre-registration process. The period for registration was between the 3rd-16th November. A total of 1,640 individuals have proven their eligibility and now may send a ballot. The deadline for the return of ballots to the CEC is midnight on Friday the 10th December. 

To provide further integrity to the voting process, the CEC will validate that all ballot packages received are eligible. This additional verification process will occur on Sunday 12th November beginning at 08:00hrs at the premises of the CEC. Once verification is complete, ballot packages will then be transported to the Counts and Results Center.

The Central Election Commission notes that accredited observers may observe the validation process.
